4.00% 9-Month CD at a Florida Bank (BankFIRST)

BankFIRST is offering a special 4.00% APY 9-month CD. The minimum deposit is $1,000 with no maximum deposit. There's also a special 3.75% APY 12-month CD. These specials don't seem to be listed at the bank's website. A reader emailed me about these, and I just called the bank for additional details. According to the CSR, these are available at all of their branches. A branch visit is required. The CSR didn't know how long these would last, but they just started on Monday, so they should last for a while.

Branches are located throughout Central Florida including the cities of Apoka, Eustis, Titusville, Clermont, Sanford, Winter Park and Melbourne. The bank has been FDIC insured since 1989 (FDIC Certificate # 27550). It has a 4 star rating (excellent) at BauerFinancial based on 3/31/08 data.
