Cache Valley Bank is offering a special 4.70% APY 12-month CD. The minimum deposit is $1,000, and the maximum is $100,000.
The special doesn't seem to be listed at the bank's website. A reader emailed me info on this, and I called yesterday for further details. According to the CSR, it requires a branch visit. In addition, you have to be within their local area. I asked if Brigham City was close enough, and the CSR said probably not. According to the CSR, the special is scheduled to run through July.
It's a small bank with two branches located in Logan, Utah. The bank has been FDIC insured since 1975 (FDIC Certificate # 22134). It has a 3 star rating (adequate) at BauerFinancial based on 3/31/08 data.
