Nevada Security Bank is offering a special 4.50% APY CD with terms of 12 to 24 months. The minimum deposit is $5,000.

Branches are located in the Nevada cities of Reno, Incline Village and Carson City.

The bank has some fair financial ratings for soundness: 3.5 stars (good) at BauerFinancial and 3 stars (performing) at Bankrate.com. Both are based on 6/30/08 data. The bank has been FDIC insured since 2001 (FDIC Certificate # 57110).
