4.58% 18-Month / 4.38% 12-Month CD at Advantage Bank in Colorado

Advantage Bank is offering two competitive CD specials. One is a 4.38% APY 12-month CD with a $1,000 minimum deposit. The other is a 4.58% APY 18-month CD with a $10,000 minimum deposit. The 18-month CD allows for a one time penalty free withdrawal of up to 50% of the original investment. This special doesn't seem to be listed at the bank's website. It was advertised in today's Colorado Daily newspaper. The ad is available online here.

A branch visit appears to be required to open an account. Branches are located in the Colorado cities of Loveland, Greeley, Fort Collins and Boulder.

The bank's financial ratings for soundness are a little weak: 3 stars (adequate) at BauerFinancial and 2 stars (below peer group) at Bankrate.com. Advantage Bank has been FDIC insured since 2000 (FDIC Certificate # 57072).
