4.50% 11-Month Add-On CD at First Personal Bank in Chicago

First Personal Bank is offering a special 4.50% APY 11-month CD. The minimum deposit is $250. It has an add-on feature which allows for additional deposits during the term at any time and in any amount. This add-on CD is also listed in the bank's rate table. At the top of the rate table it states that "rates effective as of 11/01/08 thru 11/10/08."

A branch visit appears to be required to open new accounts. Branches are located in Chicago, Orland Park and Lemont, Illinois.

The bank's financial ratings for soundness are weak: 2 stars (problematic) at BauerFinancial and 1 star (lowest) at Bankrate.com. Both ratings are based on 6/30/08 data.
