3.80% 12-Month CD at Plus4 Credit Union in Houston

Plus4 Credit Union is offering a special 3.80% APY 12-month CD. Minimum deposit is $1,000, and funds must be new to the credit union. This special doesn't appear to be listed on the credit union's website. It was adverised in last Thursday's Houston Chronicle. The ad is available online here. According to the ad, the promotion is scheduled to end on 1/31/2009.

Membership is open to those who live, work, attend school or worship in parts of Houston. Please refer to their Membership page for the full details. Membership requires a minimum balance of $5 in a share account. Applications can be done by mail, in person or online.

Branches are located in Houston. Note, the ad only lists the office at 9998 Almeda Genoa so I'm not sure if this promotion is available at all of their branches. The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 61457).

My last post on this credit union was on May 2007 when it was offering a special 4.05% 6-month CD. Like this one, it was only advertised in the Houston Chronicle.
