3.25% 20-Month CD at Truliant Federal Credit Union in North Carolina

Truliant Federal Credit Union has a certificate promotion with two competitive rates: 3.25% APY for a 20-month term and 3.00% APY for an 11-month term. Minimum deposit is $1,000, and new money is required. These are available as both regular and IRA certificates. These rates are listed in the credit union's rate table as of 2/09/2009.

The credit union also has a good deal on its 24-Month Flex Certificate. The rates range from 3% to 3.30% APY based on the initial deposit size. You're allowed to add funds at any time, up to the original amount. There's also a one time bump-up feature, up to 1%, should rates increase. Membership is open to anyone who lives, works or worships in one of two dozen counties in North Carolina, in portions of Greenville County, South Carolina, and in parts of a few counties in Virginia. The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 7840). It's a large credit union with $1.2 billion in assets and 174,995 members.
