FAST Federal Credit Union is offering the FAST Rewards Checking. The account offers the following rates and features if certain monthly requirements are met:

• 4.08% APY on balances up to $25,000
• 1.01% APY on balances over $25,000
• 0.10% base rate if qualifications are not met
• ATM fees refunded nationwide up to $25 per cycle

Rates are listed at the credit union's micro-website as of 3/18/09. The monthly requirements include:

• 10 debit card purchases
• one direct deposit or automatic payment
• receive e-statements

Additional features of the account regardless of the monthly requirements include:

• no minimum balance requirements
• no monthly fees
• free Bill Pay
• multiple accounts can be opened, but requirements must be met for each account.

Credit union membership is open to those you live, work, or worship in King's County, California. This is mentioned in the credit union's FAQ page Membership requires a minimum balance of $25 in the FAST savings account.

The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 9109).
