$50 Checking Account Bonus at AnchorBank - Wisconsin Only

AnchorBank is offering a $50 bonus for opening any new checking account. Here's the promotion page. The special is scheduled to last through May 15, 2009.

One nice feature is that it does not require direct deposit. Also nice is that they reward the bonus instantly at account opening. The Free Checking qualifies and this has no monthly fees or minimum balance requirements. Minimum opening deposit is $100. The account must remain open for at least 6 months.

This promotion appears to be limited to Wisconsin. Branches are located throughout Wisconsin including the cities of Green Bay, Madison and Milwaukee.

The bank has been FDIC insured since 1938 (FDIC Certificate # 29979).
