2.75% 14-Month CD at Credit Unions United in Kansas - Local Only

Credit Unions United is offering a special 14-month share certificate with a 2.75% APY. Minimum deposit is $500. There are also competitive standard certificate rates including 2% APY for 6 months and 2.90% APY for 30 months. These rates are listed in the credit union's share certificates page as of 6/30/09.
Credit union membership is open to persons residing, working or worshiping in the following Kansas counties: Pottawatomie, Jackson, Jefferson, Leavenworth, Wabaunsee, Shawnee, Douglas, Johnson, Osage, Franklin, Allen, Bourbon, Neosho, Anderson, Linn, Labette, and Cherokee. Please refer to the How to Join Page for more details. Membership requires a minimum deposit of $5 in the share savings account.
Branches are located in Topeka and Pittsburg, Kansas.
The credit union has fair to good ratings for safety and soundness: 4 stars (excellent) at BauerFinancial (based on 3/31/09 data) and 3 stars (performing) at Bankrate.com (based on 12/31/08 data). The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 67827).
