Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union has several competitive certificate rates especially for minimum deposits of $25,000. These include a 2.84% APY 12-month CD, a 2.94% APY 24-month CD and a 3.04% APY 36-month CD. These are also available as an IRA certificate. There's also a good deal on their Patriot Checking Account with a 1.52% APY on balances of $2.5K to $10K and 1.61% APY for balances over $10K. These rates are listed at the credit union's rate table as of 6/18/09.

Membership is open to active duty and retired military, and as you might expect, anyone who regularly works at Fort Bragg. You can also be eligible to join if you're a member of the Braxton Bragg Chapter of AUSA. However, for credit union eligibility, you must also live locally within Cumberland County and adjacent counties. Please refer to the credit union's Membership Page for the full details.

Branches are located in Fort Bragg and in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

The credit union has solid ratings for safety and soundness: 5 stars (superior) at BauerFinancial (based on 3/31/09 data) and 4 stars (sound) at Bankrate.com (based on 12/31/08 data). The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 13690).
