Savings Account with Rates Up to 3.40% at Dupaco Community Credit Union in Parts of IA, WI & IL - Local Only

Dupaco Community Credit Union has a savings account called the High-Yield Home-Grown Savings. It's a tiered rate account that only makes sense for those with balances of at least $50,000. The following are the rate tiers as listed in the credit union's rates page as of 6/17/09:
The credit union also has two fairly competitive CD specials: 2.30% APY 11-month CD and a 2.67% APY 27-month CD. These rates are listed in the credit union's rates page as of 6/17/09.
Membership is open to those who live or work in one of several counties in Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois. Please refer to their Becoming a Member Page for the full details. Membership requires a minimum balance of $25 in the share savings account.
Branches are located in the Iowa cities of Dubuque, Asbury, Dyersville, Cedar Rapids, Manchester, in Galena, Illinois and in Platteville, Wisconsin.
The credit union has solid ratings for safety and soundness: 5 stars (superior) at BauerFinancial (based on 3/31/09 data) and 4 stars (sound) at Bankrate.com (based on 12/31/08 data). The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 64049).

You ever notice that savings accounts like this one with the spectacular rate is usually only available at locations where you don't live?
You've got this one, and Grand Bank of New Jersey. Both offering over 3% for savings/MMA accounts.
Frustrating.
I want this rate where I live!

I agree - the savings account rates are not even competitive for low balances. However, it looks like this credit union is offering reasonable CD rates.
