Fort Knox Federal Credit Union is offering three very competitive CD specials: a 2.50% APY 7-month CD, a 2.60% APY 11-month CD and a 2.75% APY 17-month CD. The credit union also has competitive rates on its standard CDs. Some of the best include a 2.75% APY 24-month CD, a 3.00% APY 30-month CD and a 4.00% APY 60-month CD. Minimum deposit is $500. Higher rates are available for Jumbo CDs with a $100,000 minimum deposit. An extra 0.15% will be added for special CDs and an extra 0.25% will be added for standard CDs. These rates are listed in the credit union's CD rates page as of the morning of 8/13/09.

The credit union has a history of competitive CD specials. My last report was on August 2008 when the 7-month CD special had a 5% APY (the good old days).
