2.00% 6-Month CD & 2.20% 12-Month CD at Marquis Bank in South Florida - Local Only

Marquis Bank is offering four competitive CD specials. These include:

• 2.00% APY 6 months
• 2.20% APY 12 months
• 2.25% APY 18 months
• 2.40% APY 24 months

Minimum deposit is $1,000. Only the 24-month CD special is listed at the bank's website (bottom of front page). A reader notified me of the other terms, and I just called and verified they're still available as of 9/22/09. The CSR didn't know how much longer they would last.

A branch visit is required to open an account. It's a small one-office bank located in North Miami Beach, Florida at 115 NW 167th Street.

The bank was established in 2007, so it's labeled as a start-up by BauerFinancial. However, Bankrate gives Marquis Bank 4 stars (sound) based on 3/31/09 financial data. The bank is a FDIC member (FDIC Certificate # 58345).
