Mile High Banks have a competitive 12-month CD with a 2.07% APY. Minimum deposit is $1,000. This rate is listed in the bank's rates page as of 11/01/2009.

At the top of the rates page, it states that "Rates are available only to Colorado residents." Branches are located in the Denver and Boulder metro areas.

The bank's ratings for safety and soundness are fair: 3 stars (adequate) at BauerFinancial and 3 stars (performing) at Bankrate.com. Both ratings are based on 6/30/09 financial data. The bank has been a FDIC member since 1934 (FDIC Certificate # 3036).
