Happy New Year!

Jan 1, 2011 - 7:20 AM by Ken Tumin

This is just a quick note to wish you and your family a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. I would like to thank all of you for your support. This last year has been tough on us savers, but I'm optimistic that we'll see improvements in 2011.

Ken:  Its no longer enough for me to simply say "Thank You" for all your blog has given me.  When I first started reading, I recall there was a link provided to a "tip jar." Is that still active?  I for one would like to find a tangible way of expressing my gratitude.  Best wishes for a happy and healthy 2011 to you.

Your Blog continues to be my first read when examining CD rates, bank ratings, or Reward Checking Accts.  Unlike many other financial blogs, your site is always up to date and by far the easiest to navigate.  Your constant tweeking of the site to make things better is to be commended.

My wish for 2011:  That you find your readers a 5 year, 5% CD.  Good hunting . . .

Happy new year to you all.

This is a great piece of work. I am a newbie who came across the blog in June 2010. My first half earnings (less informed) from interest earning bank accounts TRIPLED (hallelujah) in the second half (more informed). It was that simple. THANK YOU.

Ken, Just saying thank you for this blog with all of its information does not even begin to express how grateful we all are. You have helped so many not only earn more in returns but also educating us all. Happy New Year to you and your family. I wish you all the best of everything.

Best wishes for a Happy 2011 to all!

Ken, I was so used to BankDeals.com, I wasn't sure how changing the format and reorganizing the content would work.  Without reservation, I have to say that this site is even more useful and much better organized than the old Bank Deals.  You done good.  :)  As always, you've been very responsive to comments and suggestions from your readers.

I want to also thank the contributors to DepositAccounts.com who provide so much added value to this site.  Ken's blog is the basis for everything here, but his contributors often find new opportunities or add important details to already-existing information.  I've learned much from other contributors and that inspires me to want to give something back to the site as well.

Again, best wishes to all for a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2011r!  You didn't think I'd omit "prosperous", did you?  :)

Thanks for all the good work.

You are personally responsible for all of us to increase the returns on our investments. While for some it is a small amount, for others it's VERY BIG.

Have a great NEW YEAR!!

I would like to also thank Ken and his technical partner for this excellent Blog and invite all other readers to keep their eyes open and contribute any local finds so we can all benefit.  Many of the items listed here have allowed me to earn even more on my family's savings, at places I would not have know about unless it was mentioned here. Also very much appreciate the Bank/S&L/CU ratings.

I wish I could quantify the amount you have "upped" (I assume "Upp" is not a verb) my CD yields over the past five years or so. Suffice it to say, my Mom, my wife, me, my kids, my neighbors, wow.

Thank you kindly,

Bozo

To Ken, and all: a prosperous, peaceful, healthy, and happy new year to you! It is clear from all the comments made so far as to how greatly appreciated your work is, and the contributions that everyone makes in keeping us informed on banking related news. Like glxpass, I was also so accustomed to the old bankdeals blog that it took some time to "warm up" to the new website. But this website, like bankdeals before it, is unique, and priceless! By the way, has anyone else notice that for a month now that bankingmyway.com hasn't had its previous bank deals of the week, or its weekly report on CD rate trends, and that items of interest to savers (as opposed to debtors) at bankingmyway has fallen off the proverbial cliff. Maybe the dearth of worthwhile bank deals out there lately has left them to conclude that there isn't much to report! Hope things get better in 2011.

Depositaccounts.com is simply the very best source of information in any media on cash savings--the most comprehensive, thorough, timely, educational, and interesting, pragmatic and down-to earth, as well.  Thank you, Ken, for helping so many of us.  And thanks also to the many helpful and insightful contributers who report their experiences.
