University of Iowa Community Credit Union continues to offer very competitive CD rates. There's a 15-month CD special with a 1.80% APY for a $1K minimum deposit. Other standard rates are also very competitive. These include a 2.10% APY 25-month CD, a 2.60% APY 37-month CD and a 2.75% APY 49-month CD. Jumbo CDs with a $100K deposit have rates 15 basis points higher (including the special). They also have a limited time IRA special with rates 25 basis points higher than the standard CD rates (excluding the special CD). These yields are listed in the credit union's rates page as of 2/2/2011.
The credit union continues to offer a high-yield reward checking account. As of 2/2/2011, the yield is 4.00% APY for balances up to $25,000. I first reported on this reward checking account in January 2008 when the yield was 6.00% for balances up to $50K.
