Checking Bonus and 7-Month CD Special at Members Plus Credit Union in MA - Local Only

Members Plus Credit Union

Members Plus Credit Union is having a new-branch special with some good deposit deals. The first one is a $100 bonus for opening a checking account and establishing direct deposit. The $100 will be deposited into your account after 3 consecutive months of direct deposit from May through August, 2011. Offer is valid through 4/30/2011.

The CD special is a 1.11% APY 7-month CD. Minimum deposit is $500, and like the checking bonus, the special is scheduled to last through 4/30/2011.

These specials don't seem to be listed in the credit union's website. They were advertised in the April 1st edition of a Boston newspaper. The ad is available online here.

The credit union also has some competitive standard CD rates. The two best are the 2-year CD with a 1.77% APY and the 3-year CD with a 2.02% APY. These rates are listed in the credit union's rates page as of 4/4/2011.

Credit union membership is open to anyone who lives, works, or belongs to a religious or social organization located within Middlesex, Norfolk, Plymouth, and Suffolk counties. Please refer to the credit union's membership page for more details. A minimum balance of $25 in the share savings account is required for membership.
