DepositAccounts Blog Posting FYI
I just wanted to let the regular readers know that my blog posting for the next few days will be light. I'm in the process of moving from Texas to Florida, so I'll be on the road for the next three days. I grew up in Florida during the 80's, and I moved to Texas for my first full-time job. New circumstances are allowing me to return to Florida where I'll be closer to family.
While you wait for me to return to my normal blog postings, don't forget to check out the discussion forum where we are now fortunate to have several DepositAccounts members posting on bank and finance related topics. Just some of the members who have been regularly posting include WhataBummer, mariafalter, me1004, Mike, pearlbrown and 51hh. Thank you all for posting!

Good luck and travel safely. You are welcome back in Texas anytime - let us know if you need a "care package" of BBQ from Rudy's. One more thing - once you cross the state line into Florida, don't forget that turn signals also have an "off" position. Just kidding.... Be well and happy.

Ken best of luck with the move. Travel safely and thanks for all you do here.
I also take note you timed your move so you will return to action following the current Washington, D.C. debacle . . . . . or at least following the 2 August deadline. Sure hope interest rates are higher next time circumstances allow you to report!!

Happy Trails, Ken!
I'm a North Ca girl but my first memories are of Florida. West Palm Beach & Barnum & Bailey circus tents in distance with bright flags flapping under a blue sky.
Hope your homecoming is as bright!
I've been reading your blog 4 years & have used it frequently in my banking. Found CDs & rewards checking that I wouldn't have otherwise known about.
MANY thanks, Ken!

Take the time to worry about your move...the rest of his will be ok for a time being while you get your affairs in order (unless we miss out on some 5.01% reward checking account deal with a $50k limit!)
;-)
Look forward to seeing you back online!

I usually do not join the crowd and I figure Ken is well on his way with many good wishes:D
I enjoy both the Texas' culture and the Florida's culture. Texans are warm and friendly. Floridians are relaxing and care-free. I am now in Mass (for almost 34 years); I am still not used to the New England coldness both in weather and in culture (and the Bostonian accent: say "Pa(r)king" vs. the Texans' "y'all"). I wish that I could go back to Texas one of these days and visit PB:-)
Happy Moving, Ken!

Like all your faithful and devoted readers and posters, I hope your move goes well and will be seeing your frequent posts in the near future. For some reason, I thought you lived in the Bay area in Ca. Not sure why I thought this. Living in Ca, I envy the fact you do not have any state taxes. Of course, since you lived in Texas that was never a problem for you.

Texas will miss you!!! We wish you the best and hope Florida is everything you hoped for. Thank you, Ken, for all your hard work. You have a wonderful site and provide a great service for many people.
