$100 Gift Card Checking Bonus at Citadel Credit Union in PA - Local Only

POSTED ON BY

Citadel Credit Union

Citadel Credit Union has a checking account promotion in which you can get a $100 gift card when you open a New Citadel Checking Account. There doesn't appear to be any direct deposit or debit card usage requirement. They don't provide any details about the gift cards. The small print just says "selection may vary." Last year the gift card selection included Bed Bath and Beyond, Best Buy, and Home Depot. This offer is listed at this credit union promo page as of 6/6/2012.

Below is the small print for the checking promotion:

This limited time offer may be withdrawn or changed at any time. All standard account requirements apply. The offer may not be combined with any other offer. Gift available to new checking customers only. One per customer. Customer must not have closed a Citadel checking account within the last 12 months. Gifts will be reported on a 1099-INT. Gift card will be received via US Mail in approximately 2 weeks; selection may vary. Available to eligible residents of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties, and the city of Lancaster. $50 minimum deposit to open account. Federally insured by NCUA.

Any of the credit union's 3 checking accounts qualify. Citadel's checking account page shows the features of the 3 checking account. There is a free checking account. However, it has a $15 monthly inactivity fee that takes effect after only 90 days. The STAR Checking account has a $5 monthly fee that can be waived with a $500 minimum balance.

Credit union membership is open to all who live, work, worship, or study in any of the following Pennsylvania counties: Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia. Also included is the city of Lancaster. Please refer to the credit union's FAQs page for more details.
