South Florida Federal Credit Union

South Florida Federal Credit Union is again offering a special 1-year CD rate. It also has a good money market deal for large balances. The special CD has a 12-month term with a 1.25% APY. The credit union also has a decent deal on bump-up CDs with a 1.16% APY 2-year CD and a 1.55% APY 4-year CD. If the credit union's rates go up during the term of your CD, you can "Bump Up" your rate. The CDs have a minimum deposit of $200

The money market account has a 1.10% APY. It requires a $100,000 minimum deposit to open, and it requires a $100,000 minimum average daily balance to avoid service fees.

These specials are listed on the credit union's front page in a rotating banner as of 9/18/2012.

Unfortunately, the credit doesn't make it easy to qualify. Membership is primarily based on Select Employee Groups. Several churches and schools are also included. Please refer to the credit union's Who Can Join page for more details.
