Capital One Business Checking Promotion with a $250 Bonus - Branch Only

POSTED ON BY

Capital One Bank

Capital One is again offering a nice bonus for new business checking accounts. It’s not as nice as last year’s bonus, but it’s still a good deal. The current bonus is $250, and it’s scheduled to last until 4/30/2014. If it’s like past promotions, Capital One will probably extend it. The promotion requires a branch visit (see below for branch locations).

Here’s the link to the promotion at CapitalOne.com, and here’s a summary of what’s required to earn the $250 bonus:

  • Show this offer to a banker when you open your new Spark Business Checking Account.
  • Deposit $5,000 and make one online bill payment within 30 days.
  • Get $250 deposited into your account.

Below is the offer’s small print. Note, it’s only available to new bank customers.

The promotion begins at 12:01 a.m. ET on January 1, 2014 and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on April 30, 2014. The promotion is available to new Capital One Small Business checking account customers. To qualify, you must open a new Spark Business checking account before April 30, 2014. Within 30 days of account opening, you must deposit at least $5,000 into your new business checking account and complete at least one online bill payment using your account. Banker enters promo code "DIG". You will receive the $250 credit approximately 6-8 weeks after the end of the promotion. Account must be open and in good standing to receive the credit. This offer cannot be combined with any other Capital One Bank new account opening offer and is strictly non-transferable. Limit one offer per customer.

This Capital One page shows the features and fees of the Spark Business Checking accounts. All have potential monthly fees. The Spark Business Cashback Checking has a $15 monthly service charge that can be waived with a $2,000 minimum balance.

You can see what’s required to open a business checking account in this Capital One page. This shows you the documents that you’ll need to bring to a branch. It varies based on the business type and based on the state. For example, if you have a sole proprietorship in Texas, you’ll just need to bring an "Assumed Name Certificate".

As mentioned above, this promo requires that you show the offer to a banker at a local branch. Capital One branches are located in parts of Texas, Louisiana, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC.

Other Capital One Deals

If you don’t live near a Capital One branch, you can open a personal and business accounts online through Capital One 360 (what used to be ING DIRECT). Capital One 360 continues to offer a $50 bonus for opening its 360 checking account.
