When this writer wrote in the NYT Bucks blog about her experience using Bank Of America's Mobile Check Deposit, several commenters were wondering why she was still banking at Bank of America. In this NYT Bucks blog post
, she describes why she still uses Bank of America as her primary checking account:
The bank’s plan to charge customers fees for using debit cards caused an uproar last fall, but the bank didn’t implement it in the end. So the reality for me is that Bank of America has yet to do something terrible enough to me, personally, to justify my taking the time I would have to spend to switch all of my accounts and bill payments to another bank.
She also says she is able to avoid monthly fees and isn't losing much money from the low interest rates (compared to what's available in today's environment).
Have you stuck with a large bank for your primary checking for similar reasons?
