Credit Union ATM Networks Compared To The Big Bank ATM Networks

Many credit unions belong to ATM networks like the CO-OP Network which give their credit union members access to surcharge-free ATMs nationwide. How do these ATM networks compare to the big bank ATM networks? This NerdWallet blog post has an interesting comparison. The largest credit union ATM network is actually Credit Union 24 which has 70,000 Surcharge-free ATMs. Second largest is CO-OP with 30,000 surcharge-free ATM. The bank that has the largest ATM network is Chase with just over 18,000 ATMs.
