Many Stock Mutual Funds Are Still Far From 2007 Highs

The Standard and Poor's 500 stock index is just 6.7% from its all-time high in October 2007. Has your stock mutual fund caught up yet?

Probably not, according to data from Lipper. Of 3,955 stock mutual funds, just 2,112, or 53%, are above where they were on Oct. 9, 2007, when the S&P 500 set its record.
