Bank Of America Checking Labeled As Inactive Even With ACH Deposits & Withdrawals

Most probably know that banks and credit unions can label accounts as inactive if there's a long period of inactivity. It can cause monthly inactivity fees. It can also lead to escheatment.

Not all activities may count in making an account active. This can vary by institution. A Bank of America customer described in this FW thread how the bank informed him that his account was considered as inactive even though there were monthly ACH deposits and withdrawals. Apparently, these were considered internet activities which didn't make the account active.
