Be Wary ....Something Is Wrong At ING Direct ...... They Close Accounts For No Apparent Reason !

I got an email that ING is closing my account within 30 days. After over 8 years and no issues I was floored !

I retired and rolled over my ING 401-K plan to them with almost $240,000 which grew another $28K. I never touched the account. It simply grew.

I had some personal CDs with them and left about $400 in the savings account. There was NEVER any issue with this bank or any other bank ....ever ! I never wrote a check....never used their debit card.....the account just sat there.

They closed the account.....no reason and when I contacted the CEO through an email a compliance person responded and said "I can't help you".

 

I was so bewildered.....the customer servce reps all made me feel like I had some "disease" and simply wanted me to "go away". No answer....no reason...... just "GO" !

After recommending ING Direct to so many of my friends and family I wonder now if I did the right thing.
