As decribed in this MarketWatch article, 10 things Google won’t tell you, Google products have many issues. One in particular is Google Wallet. It's not going to be replacing your leather wallet any time soon. Excerpts:
Google has ambitious plans for Google Wallet, a mobile-based payments service exclusive to Android phones that has the ability to receive real-time offers and coupons from nearby stores.

Now that Google Wallet is on the scene, is a regular wallet even necessary? Pay without cash or charge card in hand, safely and securely. One of the fast-growing instances of the digital wallet is the appropriately known as Google Wallet, but it pays to know just a little bit about how it works before you dive in to the cashless (and cardless) retail revolution.
