1. Friday, November 9, 2012 - 8:37 AMWe are already seeing the unsustainability caused by this demographic in Europe. Many European countries have negative population growth rates and generous entitlement programs. Result: financial crisis. It seems there are only two possible solutions. Either have more babies (unlikely to happen in developed countries) or cut entitlement program benefits (politically unpopular). Both solutions mean a probable drop in living standards. Do nothing and the whole system eventually collapses, much like a Ponzi scheme. Odd, isn't it, that given the rising ratio of retirees to working-age adults that the federal government wants contraceptives to be available for free? Seems counterintuitive.

7. Saturday, November 10, 2012 - 9:07 AMWil #4: Yes I did because you got the wrong impression from what I posted. We have "smileys" we can use for when we are joking but I do not know what to use for when I am being sarcastic or ironic. I bet you also noticed I changed my other posts so they wouldn't be confusing if anyone but you and I are posting on this thread.

8. Saturday, November 10, 2012 - 9:25 AMActually, I hadn't seen your other posts until this morning. I had guessed, or at least hoped, that you were being ironic, hence my original comment #4. But if I was uncertain as to your meaning, there was certainly a risk that others might take it the wrong way. So by responding as I did, it prompted you to give it more thought, which you have in fact done, which is a positive outcome. I hope you know that I am not one of your "critics."

9. Saturday, November 10, 2012 - 9:39 AMWil: "All things come to those who perservere". I actually have a poster who admits to not being one of my critics which means he is aware I do have a "lot" of them. :) Seriously, I knew if you may have misunderstood my post others may also and I really do appreciate your bringing it to my attention. Feel free to post-check all my posts for me. With your help, maybe before long I will have "less" critics and people will take me more seriously. Have a great day!
