Crescent Credit Union RCA Tiered Rates With 1-Year Guarantee: Rate Drop

In May of this year, Ken reported a great deal:  the eRewards account at this institution offered a guaranteed rate for 1 year from account opening.  As of 5/29/12, the rates were as follows: 

• 4.00% APY for balance up to $5,000
• 2.00% APY for portion of balance between $5,000 and $25,000
• 0.15% APY for portion of balance over $25,000
• 0.15% base rate if requirements are not met

As of today, the rates are: 

• 2.00% APY for balance up to $5,000
• 1.00% APY for portion of balance between $5,000 and $25,000
• 0.10% APY for portion of balance over $25,000
• 0.10% base rate if requirements are not met

These rates are effective today and are also guaranteed for 1 year from account opening.
