Bank of America Corp. has shelved plans for new fees that could have hit at least 10 million customers by the end of this year, skirting a potential replay of a 2011 uproar over consumer-banking charges.

The article also warned that Bank of America is looking into other ways to make money from its profitable customers. One example is financial advisers pushing non-bank products at branches. It's a good idea to be cautious of financial advisers at any bank selling non-bank products.
