5 Banks Targeted For New DDoS Attacks

Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Cyber Fighters has announced the "second phase" of its hacktivist campaign, saying five major U.S. banks will be the victims of new distributed-denial-of-service attacks starting this week.

The past denial-of-service attacks began last September and affected PNC, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Chase, US Bank and a few other major banks. The attacks made these banks' websites inaccessible for a period of time.
