Credit Union Name Changes In 2012

The Financial Brand blog has an interesting review of the credit unions that have changed their names this year. Many of the name changes show an expanded membership. Here are a few examples:

• Catholic Credit Union changed to Solarity Credit Union - It's open to anyone in Washington State
• El Paso Employees Credit Union changed to Evolve Credit Union - It's open to any resident of El Paso County, TX
• Postal Federal Community Credit Union changed to BluCurrent Credit Union - It's open to any resident in one of 10 counties in Southwest Missouri.

Unfortunately, I didn't find any of these credit unions that make it easy for anyone in the nation to join. If you find any, please leave a comment.
