If you do it online, it should be an immediate transfer for all banks. If FCB holds fund for internal savings --> checking transfers, this deserves to be the worst bank fo 2012.
But, note that many banks have (entire or part of) 24th Dec. off as well, then it makes sense.
On the customer side, it is always prudent to find out bank holidays and off-time beforehand if one anticipates important transfers/activities.
