STAY AWAY from Merrimack County Savings Bank for mortgages! They just did a bait & switch on my friend. She was approved for a 5% mortgage, both verbally and in writing, and just as they were about to close the commitment letter says 20% down. Their loan person there is Cliff Colquitt. He's AWFUL, won't give them any explanation on this bait & switch. My friend and her husband are first time buyers, new to this, great borrowers, have had steady employment for a long time and they have excellent credit. STAY AWAY FROM MERRIMACK COUNTY!
