Dear Readers,

BTW "Market Linked CDs" are also called the "Structured CDs".

As I've poined out before, the principal is FDIC insured, but the interest / contingent-interest is not.

We have gone over and over these products. They have so many negatives that they are not worth it.

Dear Readers,

Aha ... and those who have gone over (and over) these products are convinced (rightly or wrongly) that these products are not worth it, are .. oh so totally "allowed" not to join the webinar !!

"Using complex products designed to cater to your sense of fear is rarely a smart move. Sometimes you'll get lucky, but more often, you'll end up paying more than you should for protection you don't need and can build more cheaply and simply on your own."

Dear Reders,

The risks associated with the Market Linked CDs are well documented.  URL below has description of many such risks:

http://www.sec.gov/answers/equitylinkedcds.htm

Before putting in any money into any product is it quite essential for one to understand the risks

Nobody  has ever claimed that the risks associated with Market Linked CDs are on par with those associated with Traditional CDs.

Thank you, my point exactly.
