WSJ: Credit Scores: Why Aren't They Free?

In one of the more frustrating headaches in financial disclosure, you generally must pay to see your credit score—the three-digit grade that predicts how risky you are as a borrower.

That could change. Earlier this month, bills were introduced in both the House and Senate that would give consumers access to free credit scores once a year.
