U.S. Added 175K Jobs In May As Recovery Remains Slow

The economy added a solid 175,000 jobs last month, according to new government data released this morning, but the gains were not enough to make a dent in the nation’s unemployment rate.

The Fed's punchbowl remains intact...

LONDON — Stock markets rose on Friday after a U.S. jobs report suggested the Federal Reserve is likely to keep its stimulus program going for now. On balance, the report seems to suggest the U.S. economy is still recovering, but slowly enough for the Fed to not rein in its monetary stimulus program just yet. The program, which increases the amount of money in the U.S. financial system, has helped drive stock markets higher for months.

We have so many good paying jobs being filled in the Cline Shale oil fields that all the minimum wage convenience stores, restaurants and fast-food joints are begging for workers. The only caveat being one better be in good physical shape to work in most of the the oil related fields.

That was what I am concerned about: There are more job opportunities; but the quality/nature of the added jobs is much lower than before.
