Did QE Punish Savers For Nothing?

According to a new study by two senior US economists, America's second program of quantitative easing, nicknamed "QE2", boosted economic output by just 0.04 percent. It follows that the enormous pain suffered by savers and pensioners at the hands of QE has been for nothing.

So does this mean those bozos have learned their lesson and are going to finally raise saver's rates just a teeny bit?  I would not count on it.  That would be like admitting all the letters from people like myself were right and they caused a lot of suffering for nothing!

No. In today's politically correct world it just means that "savers and pensioners" can be referred to as 'collateral damage'.
