Computers Lined Up To Replace Humans In Bank Branches

Intelligent machines could replace human bank staff in high street branches within five years, the Telegraph has learnt.

Several major banks are understood to be in talks to introduce "express" branches, which would be similar to self-service checkouts in supermarkets. These smaller outlets would be almost completely devoid of human interaction.

We have a credit union like this in our area of Michigan. Has been like this for years. You can talk to a person by hitting a button I understand. You sit down on a stool and do your transaction. I never used it. I just opened a CD with a person and left. They mailed me a check when it matured.
