Acquisition By Korean American Bank Is Major Step Into More States

Tuesday, December 17, 2013 - 12:30 PMHanmi Bank - Details
Korean American bank Hanmi Bank in Los Angeles has reached a deal to acquire a troubled Texas lender, in a major move extending Hanmi beyond California and into six more states.

http://www.latimes.com/business/money/la-fi-mo-hanmi-bank-central-bancorp-acquisition-20131216,0,447...

The deal would boost Hanmi to 51 branches, second is size among Korean American banks to only BBCN Bancorp, also of Los Angeles' Koreatown. It would leave Hanmi with the highest deposits of any Korean American bank in Texas, Illinois and Virginia. It would also give Hanmi a toehold in the New York area (one branch in New York, another in New Jersey) and in Georgia.

(Ken, the button to make the link a hyperlink is not working, For that matter, neither are any of the other formatting buttons.)

Where are you finding a button to make things a "hyper-link"? Is it on all computers? I have never found it on mine?

Paoli2: Well, that's kind of an aside. But I found today that Ken has redesigned the posting page. The buttons are now at the bottom of the window in which you type -- they used to be at the top. However, I do not see them in this Reply window -- perhaps this new design is not quite ready for prime time. But they are there in the window for making the original post.

Maybe Ken has the same people who have designed Obama's Healthcare website working for him!! :) Just kidding. Could not resist the temptation to say that. I can't learn how to do things right on a computer no matter who puts it together. I still can't do one of those fancy blue link things. It's a problem with me, not the setup of this webpage, unfortunately.

Sorry for the forum problems. My tech partner just made a fix so that the format buttons are now displayed at the bottom of the text box.

Thank you Ken, and your tech partner for making this important fix.  After all these years, I can for the first time post a "link" like others were doing.  The link is of no consequence to DA, I was just testing to see if I could do it.  Much appreciation.
