I remember when the guys on KNBC, CNBC etc said no one who has been in the market for 10 years has ever lost money, then it went for a rolling 20 years, not that you made money but just didn't loose money. Why give the money to Wall Street you are no longer investing but gambling. Why not sit down at a poker table? Some win, some loose in the market just like the poker table. Remember that at least with CD's you have compounding for a higher effective yield but when in the market you can loose all momentum.

A well diversified portfolio is much better than putting all your eggs in one basket.
