Bank fees vary by institution and can include anything from ATM fees to monthly service charges. These expenses can add up quickly, reducing your account balance and potentially obliterating any interest earnings. There is, however, a better way to bank. If you’re tired of pesky charges and you’re looking for a cheaper, simpler way to manage your money, a checking account with Bank X might be right up your alley. It’s everything you need in a checking account — minus the fees.

I reviewed Bank X and its savings and checking accounts in this 2013 blog post.

It used to have a competitive rate on its savings account, but now its rate is only 0.60%. Like many of BofI Federal internet banks, their interest rates often don't hold up.
