Help If Your Credit Card Is Lost Or Stolen

If you have several credit cards and debit cards, it's useful to have a list of the cards with the phone numbers and account numbers. This Bankrate tool has a credit card data work sheet that can be used to keep this list. It probably needs more rows for the bank card table since many people have been opening multiple reward checking accounts.

Just make sure you keep this work sheet secure. The list will just make things worst if it gets lost or stolen.

I definitely agree with this tip. This is extremely helpful especially in the unfortunate event of losing your credit card. You can immediately call the bank, inform them of your lost credit card, tell them your account number and have it cancelled, with no risk of you being victimized of identity theft. Unlike if you wait for a day or two to make a visit to your bank, transactions could have already been made making disputing them harder and longer to process.
