Diamond Freedom CD - 1.40% 12 Month And 1.80% / 1.90% 24 Month

Last week, I was in the Garden Grove - Brookhurst branch of Hanmi Bank.  They had an in-branch display ad for the Diamond Freedom CD.  These CDs are not listed online.

The 12 month CD was 1.40%, $ 10K minimum, the 24 month CD was 1.80% / 1.90%, $ 10K / $ 100K minimum.

Both CDs allow deposits (in $1K multiples) up to the original (opening) deposit amount and six withdrawals over the term.  The 24 month CD only allows withdrawals after 6 months.

These CDs are similar to those offered at the end of 2008 / beginning of 2009.

While the overall term rates are not great, the 1.40% or 1.80% / 1.90% for six months would place them near the top.

The 6 month online CD is 1.21% and the 12 month online CD is 1.46%.  These are standard (1 deposit / 0 withdrawal) CDs.
