Ally Brand Name Will Completely Replace GMAC

It has been over a year since the GMAC Bank was renamed Ally Bank. Now the parent company is getting ready to replace the GMAC name with Ally for all of its operations.

From the Wall Street Journal:

Ally Financial Inc. said it will rebrand its GMAC retail- and dealer-auto finance operations in North America as Ally, as it continues to try to establish itself as a stand-alone company with a broader auto-lending business.

In May, the company changed the name of corporate entity GMAC Inc. to Ally Financial Inc. It renamed its bank Ally Bank last year.
