CUNA Analyzes Interchange Rule's Impact

Wednesday, July 28, 2010 - 12:51 PM
From CUNA News Now
The Credit Union National Association (CUNA) has said that while credit unions with under $10 billion in assets are exempt from interchange regulations the Federal Reserve Board is writing, CUNA is particularly concerned that the law does not require the marketplace to accommodate higher fees for smaller issuers.

This interchange rule could have a big effect on reward checking accounts. There are many details that the Fed will be working on. Hopefully, it won't change the interchange fees too much.
