Bank Of America Slashes CD Rates, Tips For Bank Of America Customers

Bank of America (0 stars) - Details
I haven't done much tracking of Bank of America CD rates since they have been below average for some time. But others have, and as a mega-bank, their rate moves can affect what other banks are offering. This post at the LA Times Money & Company Blog reported on rate cuts at Bank of America this week:
Bank of America Corp. this week slashed interest rates on its longer-term certificates of deposit, a move one rate-tracker says is likely a response to expected declines in fee income under new federal rules limiting overdraft charges.

Note, Bank of America has slightly higher CD rates for its MyExpression Banking CDs (see review). Also, they have some higher CD rates and a money market account deal via the NEA.
