I just noticed this unique direct deposit requirement which affects the balance cap:

From Endura's eLife Checking page:

eligible balance to receive 4.01% APY will be determined by a direct deposit amount into eLife Checking account; direct deposit between $0.01 - $499.99 per month, maximum eligible balance is $5,000.00 to earn the account rate; $500 - $999.99 per month, the maximum eligible balance is $10,000.00; $1,000.00+ per month, maximum eligible balance is $25,000

This is the first time I've seen different balance caps based on the amount of the direct deposit.
