Banks That Offer Remote Check Deposit
Remote check deposit allows a bank customer to scan a check at home and deposit it into his bank account all online. There's no branch visit required. In the last year we're seeing more institutions starting to offer this service. The latest two include Chase Bank and Pentagon FCU. At Chase, only an iPhone can do the remote deposit.
The FiveCentNickel blog has a useful overview and history of remote check deposits. In addition, the blog includes a list of institutions which offer some form of consumer remote check deposit service. This wikia.com page has this list in a table format with several important features of the institutions' remote check deposit services.
